It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Jones announces her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the age of 78 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, son: John Dingwell; daughters: Donna Shand, Rita Dodaro, Rosie Armini and Colleen Dingwell, all of Ontario; grandchildren: Ryan, Randy, Johnathon, David, Courtny, Daniele, Angelina and Justin; stepchildren: Joy Greene (Ronnie), Dorothy Burton (Jim), Dawn Ayers (Doug), Josephine Pye (Tony) and Joe Jones (Donna); sisters: Rita Connolly (Joe) and Frances Newman (Mike) of Halfway Point; Mercedes Christopher of Mt. Pearl; brother Ron (Bride) of Halfway Point, sister-in-law: Genevieve of Benoits Cove and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including long time special friend Pearl. She was predeceased by her first husband Thomas Norman Dingwell and second husband Kevin Jones; parents: Daniel and Violet Greene; sister; Dellie Greene; brother; George Greene; brother and sister-in-law: Dominic and Barbara Greene; brother-in-law: Steve Christopher and son-in-law: Wayne (Red) Shand. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Friday, June 29th at 10:30 A.M. from Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, Benoit’s Cove with cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
