May 1, 1926 - June 1, 2012

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael “Kevin” Moore announce his passing on Friday, June 1, 2012 at the DVA Unit, Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 86 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 61 years, Marie (Daniels) and his three sons: William (Carol), Michael (Moira), and John (Ann); eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Amy Bjelajac and Anne Marie Moore. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Mary Moore, and ten brothers and sisters. Kevin was known for a lifetime of volunteer activities; he served in numerous executive positions with the Royal Canadian Legion for the past twenty-five years. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. from The Cathedral of The Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. While flowers would be graciously appreciated, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #13, or the Western Regional Memorial Hospital Foundation or a charity of one’s choice. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
